SCOOTERIA · LISBOA

The Lisbon Notebook.

Small observations from a city best enjoyed with a little curiosity. No list to complete. Just a few things to notice when the wheels have stopped.

SIX LITTLE NOTES / LISBOA

THE LISBON NOTEBOOK · VOL. 01

There is no need
to see everything.

A notebook keeps the things that stayed with you. A colour, a sound, a corner you want to remember. These first pages are invitations to pay attention, rather than an itinerary to follow.

01 / LOOK ABOVE THE SHOPFRONTS

The city has an upstairs.

Once you are safely parked, look above the signs and windows. A painted shutter, a balcony or a line of washing can change the whole street. The smallest detail is sometimes the one you remember.

02 / LEAVE SOME ROOM

A good day can have blank spaces.

Try leaving a little room between the things you planned. You do not have to fill every hour. A short pause can be part of the day, rather than something to fit around it.

03 / KEEP A LITTLE NOTE

Remember your own Lisbon.

Write down a colour or a small moment when you have stopped. Take a photograph if it feels right, with care for the people around you. A personal notebook does not need to look like anyone else’s.

04 / A CITY PEOPLE LIVE IN

Leave room for everyday life.

The street is someone’s way home, not just a backdrop. Keep entrances clear, respect the people around you and follow the signs and access rules where you are. A thoughtful visitor leaves space for the city to carry on.

05 / MAKE THE PAUSE A PAUSE

Switch off. Look around.

Stop only where permitted, park safely and put the phone away before riding again. Give the pause its own moment. There is no need to turn every stop into the next thing to do.

06 / COME BACK WITH A STORY

The best part might be a small thing.

A good day does not need a grand ending. Leave time to return to the shop at your agreed hour. Perhaps you will have one small observation to tell us. We would like to hear it.

These pages will grow with reviewed neighbourhood stories and photographs. For now, leave a little room for a page of your own.
